Project: Good Shepherd Center For Homeless Women & Children

ames1In Spring 2011 over 30 interiors designers joined forces to transform the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women & Children into a beautiful space to benefit deserving area women and children. Produced and managed by Vanessa De Vargas and Vanessa Kogevinas, the three-month project was completed in July 2011.

Each room in the 30-room facility was decorated and furnished with products, materials and design services provided on a pro-bono basis. “The Good Shepherd Center’s mission is to provide care, dignity and love, enabling women and children to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency,” notes Kogevinas. De Vargas adds: “By enlisting generous support from designers, manufacturers and service providers, the design community hopes to make a tangible and transformative difference in the lives of women and children in need. We are very honored for this opportunity and are grateful to be able to work together for a wonderful cause.”
